I have been reading several threads on the site since my friend was diagnosed with ALS 5 months ago. First I want to say this site has been a wealth of information and I am grateful for all here who answer questions.
I was hoping to get some information on the Bipap vs the trilogy. My friend has been using a Bipap machine for sleep apnea for a few years before this recent diagnosis. A sleep study was recently done and she does have a respiratory therapist working with her. I went to visit her this week and noticed her breathing was far more labored than a week ago and she asked me about oxygen.
I was reading on the site O2 is not used to often and it's more adjustment with the Bipap. I would appreciate any information. She is also getting ready to travel and I was a bit worried about it.
