Gene Test

before anyone sends their blood to a lab for ALS Gene Test, Do some research on the Labs and the cost of the test. The Day I was diagnosed the doctor suggested I get a gene test by Athena Labs. I got a bill for $10,200. This was a complete surprise. I started researching to find there are several other labs that do the same test for a lot less. The cost range was between $500 and $3000. After a lot of Stress and going round & round with Athena I paid them $800. We shouldn't have to go through this after being told we have ALS.

Sorry about that. Athena used to be the only place in the US that does the tests. Not true anymore. I was recently told by a doctor who knows a lot about ALS genetics that prevention genetics is the best place for quality testing at a fair price. No help to you but maybe to others. How were your results?
