Our 'beloved leaders' budget proposal cuts benefits for vets. So much for that promise.

One item cut is something called Individual Unemployability.

I contacted PVA about this and received the following:

Good Afternoon Mr. Kenoyer,

It is actually called Individual Unemployability (IU). It is something the VA grants to veterans who are unable to work based on their service-connected disabilities when the total disabilities do not add up to a full 100% scheduler disability rating. Since you have already been found to be 100% service connected, the issue of IU would not pertain to you and it was never a consideration with your rating. I hope that answers the question, but please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Regards,

This bone-head policy will have a significant impact on our Vietnam, Iraq, Afghan vets. Shameful.

Like you said, it doesn't apply to us. There are some pretty serious impacts for those not rated 100% scheduler though.
