So I retired after 20 years and received a pension which I paid income taxes on for the past 20+ years. Now I have been categorized 100% with ALS. Is the disability taxable? Is my pension taxable like before?

My 100% disabl Is not taxable but I believe pensions are.

What did google say?

Steves disability was not taxed. He didnt have a pension.

Retirement is taxed, but disability is not.

Ditto what Nuts said. Disability compensation is in no way taxable. Pension is taxable as always.

Thanks for all the feedback and the PM from atsugi, I did not mean anything bad when I mentioned the pamphlet, good work on yours
