My Dad

My dear sweet father passed away on Saturday, August 22nd. My mother, brother and sister and I were with him when he left his battle weary body and rose to a better place. As heart breaking as it was we had to smile shortly after his passing as we knew he was popping a top on a beer and saying "ahhh" for a first taste after so long without.

He was such a wonderful man and the best father. I thought we had more time together but I know that he no longer suffers. My heart is full of wonderful silly everyday memories that no disease will ever take from me. I was lucky to have had him in my life and he will always be a part of me.

Oh Dana! I so heart broken to hear this sad news. Even though I never met your dad, I felt like I knew him through your posts. I am so sorry for your loss. It is plain to see in the pictures that you posted how close you two are and what a beautiful relationship you have. Please know that you have been in my thoughts since your dad entered the hospital.
