My dad went into caridac arrest at home today. They were able to get his heart beating again but hes in a coma in icu at the moment went without oxygen for 7 mins. Will know more in the morning after scans and such. Just so shocking because it was so sudden. I mean obviously he has als but he was still talking a bit, walking with a walker and not even using the bipap all day. We are praying he comes out of it but who knows. Just in shock right now

Thank you everyone for the positive vibes, yes it took us completely by surprise. Unfortunately we have beem told he is brain dead and we will pull him from the ventilator tomorrow once more family arrive.
