My dear husband lost his battle with ALS on Wednesday, May 18th. He had gone through a period of rapid progression but I wasn't expecting this to happen so soon. Now we are all trying to come to grips with how to live a life without him in it.
I searched through here often looking for solutions and suggestions and ideas, and the collective wisdom I found helped me to make things easier on him and I appreciate so much that you are all so generous with sharing sometimes painfully intimate details of your lives for the benefit of others.
I don't know what else to say. I am bone weary, sad, and more than a little lost.
