This is in remembrance of my son, Rudy Cantu............June 18, 1968-June 3, 2007

I Remember You

In the rising of the sun and in its going down,
I remember you;

In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter,
I remember you;

In the opening of buds and in the warmth of summer,
I remember you;

In the rustling of leaves and the beauty of autumn,
I remember you;

In the beginning of the year and when it ends,
I remember you;

When I am weary and in need of strength,
I remember you;

When I am lost and sick at heart,
I remember you;

So long as I live, you too shall live for you are now
a part of me,
I remember you.

Rest in peace, son. Missing you more than words can say.
Love,
Mom (Irma Cantu Manzanares)

Beautiful tribute to Rudy, Irma.

Thank you for sharing it!

You are welcome, Zaph! It's been quite a while since I been here. Was having difficulties logging in! We have quite a few newbies here! I remember you well. Happy to be back, but so sad we lost Al, may he rest in peace. You have a blessed night. Oooops, it's morning!

This is to mine and Rudy's Als Family and Friends on this forum:

I would like to thank each and everyone of you for joining me in remembering my dear son, Rudy Cantu. Many, many thanks from my heart to each of you for taking the time to do something nice n' memorable such as this. Let me say this, even if every flower in the world had a voice, I couldn't send as many as it would take to say 'thanks' enough. I love you all. May God bless each one of you.

Rest in heavenly peace, dear one!
Love,
Mom

Thank you so much for sharing that poem Irma....I am so sorry for your loss of your dear son Rudy. I think I will have this poem read out loud at my funeral because it says everything in my heart. Praying for you and your family dear one.

I'm sorry for your loss--you've created a lovely poem to remember him with. ALS seems to take the best--entirely too fast and entirely too young

So beautiful, very sorry for your loss.
