I am asking for prayer. Eddie is in ICU for bowel obstruction. He is in his final
stages. He told me yesterday that he wanted to die. I suppose I get that,
however, we need prayer for the both of us.

He was on a hospital gurney in the Emergency room from 4 pm till 1am just
getting a room in ICU. Very uncomfortable. He hasn't had a bowel movement
for over four days. They have used many things, from both ends.

The bomb, enemas, all kinds. Today they will decide if they operate. Eddie is
of the mind set that he has had enough. We pray together and he has trusted
Christ, so we do not worry to that end.

Eddie is the type that used to wake up in 5th gear. He was a long distance
runner. Took good care of his health, so has always wondered what caused
all this. I know you don't have that answer, but I know you all think about the
same thing in one fashion or another.

He has one son and doesn't want to leave him. That is very normal. But,
Eddie knows that he doesn't like just laying there. He is now questioning
weather he should have ever went on his vent. Or got his peg.
We have not been able to get him out of bed, except for a transfer to a
chair right beside his bed.

He has been through a lot, traveled all over for stem cell. We even went to
Mexico, flew a surgeon down from California to do the surgery several years
ago. There is so much more, but the money, the pain and now the suffering,
he thinks he has had enough.

Yesterday we cried together, laughed a little, and wonder what today will bring?

So, please pray God's will be done. Weeping has endured for the night, joy
will come this morning.

Thanks to all the Christ thinkers.

Walk with the King today and be a blessing

Jim

Gentleman Jim...What an incredible source of strength, compassion & empathy you embody. Jimmy V gave a speech as he fought cancer that has helped me erase the bondage of this disease:

" When people say to me how* do you get through life or each day, it's the same thing. To me, there are three things we all should do every day. We should do* this every day of our lives. Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number two is think. You should spend some time in thought. Number three is, you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy. But think about it. If you* laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have*something special."

My friend...it sounds like you have something special. Prayers & love for you all. Xoxo

Jim,
Prayers sent your way. Both you and Eddie are very brave. Trust in God to get you through this. He will give you the strength to guide.
Love,
Susan

Jim,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and Eddie. I hope his pain is controlled - bowel obstruction has to be excruciating.

Peace be with you,
Jo
