I just found this email from this group. It was on an email I dont use anymore. Maybe God sent me here. It has now been 2 and a half years from my husbands diagnosis. Thank God things have been moving slowly. He also was diagnosed with dementia last January. His main problem now is his hands and arms. No strength. But he still feeds himself. I cut up all his food. He is unsteady on his feet lately. I am presently going for radiation. I have breast cancer. But the positive thing is it was stage 1. I just pray I will be OK to continue to take care of him. Enough about me. How are you and your husband doing.

Hi Lkaibel. I just wanted to thank you for your very comforting and informative message a month ago. I am coming back to tell you that I have just had a second EMG which was clean. I wish you all the very best. You sound lovely and caring.

Hi Lenore, thanks for your comment. Since I have a gag order issued against me, Im assuming I can respond to your response to my message here? Mike has invited me to respond to his pm to me, but on his visitor section I need to pay to respond...

I recently posted in the DIHALS section of this forum. I have since reviewed several of your posts and responses to threads. I very much appreciate your honesty. I have read the stickies. I have taken your advice (posted in your 'stickie', as I like to call it). I now recognize my health anxiety over this whole process. This is very new to me. I've talked to my PCP and started a low dose of Klonopin to help me thru this process.

I've been to so many neuros and neuromusculars already - I guess ALS clinic is the place to go. Thank you.

I just wanted to say hi. My husband and I live in Maple Grove, MN. I see you are from Minneapolis. My husband was diagnosed in February at Mayo Clinic in Rochester with a 95% chance of ALS. He is now being seen at the ALS Center for Excellence at HCMC. He just turned 60. It was quite the shock. As you said, we had a wonderful life. Just welcomed our second grandchild. My husband is doing fairly well at this point. His neurologist at HCMC thinks he has a slow progressing form. His main complaint is muscle weakness in his right thigh. He has trouble going up stairs and raising from a sitting position. Let me know if I can be of any help to you.
