Hello. Thank you for your info on Vanderbilt. I might see you there sometime. I am going to try and keep my job health insurance as long as I can pay for it. Hopefully I will get Social Security Disability & Medicare soon. Nice talking to you :)

Hi, I started out with Baclofen which didn't seem to do much. My Clinic Doc started the Gabapentin in July. I was having some severe cramping when I moved that would literally bring the motion to a halt. I take 300mg three times a day. I still have an occasional cramp mostly in my R hand which is weakening. I can tell the difference if I miss a dose or two. Your Doc should be on top of the other meds you're taking, even the over the counter items and be aware of any interactions. Make a visit to your pharmacist with a list of all that you take and he will do a review for you just to make sure they're OK together. My C/O with the Gabapentin is that I can't take an antacid 2 hours before or after. I've been having a lot of reflux lately. Reminds me of my last pregnancy... reflux even with water or without even taking anything by mouth. I hope it works for you, Deb

My attitude has not always been this way. I guess it takes acceptance of this disease to change the way you feel. I still don't like it but I have learned to accept it only through the grace of God

I have been going there since last March. I have been seen by two or three neuros and the NP. Two emgs and every blood test they know. Still no explaination.
Hopefully you have a good neuro there and have been treated well. Sorry you are going through this. Blessings!
