Hi ! How are things going for you? Been worried about you since you I haven't seen you on as much lately. My dad is staying about the same right now. It's hard to gauge with this disease. He could be alot better and he could be alot worse too. He's in good spirits most of the time. He really enjoys watching movies on Netflix. When the weather gets nicer we will take him to the park to watch my two boys play baseball. He really enjoys that. Take care, Kim

Haven't seen you on for awhile Casey. Are you doing okay? My dad is currently home staying at his house. He is starting to get weaker in the arms which is very frustrating to him. But, he is a strong man and does his best to keep his spirits up. When he has a bad day and snaps at us a little I don't take it personally in the least bit. My kids are so thrilled to have him home and the youngest is so happy when he is able to help grandpa out with whatever he can. Take care, Kim

Thought of you at thanksgiving. My parents took us all to a casino for the holiday! :-) they paid for rooms for us (myself and 3 siblings) and gave each of us and our spouses $50. And paid for our turkey buffet on Thursday. :-). Some of us are encouraged by our families to blow our money! (I did come out ahead by a little). Deciding now where we should go over christmas (well, leaving the day after Christmas). . . Maybe charleston, SC. Where did you just go?

Hey, how was your vacation? You were going to kick back on the beach and order drinks and not much more. :-). Any trouble with the plane? How tan did you get?

Casey, new guy in my support group. They are, of course, overwhelmed but good, good people. He's younger and bulbar onset. Almost, but not quite, without voice. I'm going to urge him to use this site and am going to tell him to look for 'you' and your posts on it. You have great, humorous, real application advice. Hopefully he'll hook up with you. You have a great outlook and you guys are so similar and not that far from each other. I'm still talking, have my bad speaking days, but I'm hanging in there.

Btw, I'm looking for the zipper ziplocks. I have trouble with zippers but that's usually because my body is fighting back against them! A zipper with no resistance might work for me. :-)

Thank you Casey, I will attempt to fill this day with all of those things, although the wine needs to wait more toward the end of the day lol/.

Thanks for thinking of me. :)

    Hi Casey,
I am excited because it looks like my dad will be coming back to his home this month for at least awhile. How long he stays will probally depend on his progression. We have a family friend who is a carpenter/handy man who has agreed to be my dad's full-time caregiver. He is currently staying in my dad's house already. It makes my dad feel more comfortable because his house doesn't sit empty then and his friend pays for the heat etc and keep the house maintained. I took my daughter to see Justin Bieber. It was a challenge for me but I made it through it. lol Hope you are doing well. You and the other PALS are in my prayers. Hugs, Kim
