I must have had a bad day yesterday I don't usually don't talk like that to anyone. Sorry . I am glad you are doing so well just keep it up. You do know that medicare will pay 80% and if you have another insurance they should pay the rest for a chair lift for getting up the stairs also they paid for my Dynavox computer anything you need the doctors should help you get what ever you need. My name is Shirley Messick I will be 67 this week. I worked 35 years for Baxter Laboratories as a Production Clerk.

Hi Sweets! Yes, human and kitty touch are what it's all about. I'm getting around pretty well so far. I use a cane and walk like a penguin but still upright and moving. My neck hurts if I don't take Ibuprophin so I usually take 4 per day. Right foot drop and that causes me to trip and fall sometimes but have just wrenched my ankle and nothing worse thank God. I can still get up and down the stairs, just very slowly and rely heavily on the railing and my cane both ways. Did the laundry last weekend but it was difficult. Can still use hands but right is pretty far gone and left is going. I frequently miss letters when I type due to weakness. I get tired out pretty easily. Breathing fine, talking fine so far, no problems swallowing. I just pray that it keeps going slow. As you say, there is so much to do. I've given up on doing lots of things I'm used to doing but it's hard. It's hard to have to rely on people helping you all the time.

Think you so much for the hug and here is one for you. I don't know about you but human touch now means more to me. Maybe because I can't touch only feel. Don't you ever wonder why you got this disease when their is so much you would like to do. But of course every one feels that way so why not us. then I think of the seventeen year old girl in Springfield, Mo. then I think I have been blessed to have as long as I have had.
Were are you at with this disease. I still talk, My neck muscles are not good(my fault), my arm and legs are gone except I can still use my feet for using my computer and wheelchair. Hope you have a good day

He's using a cane to walk and his hip still hurts a lot. He is beginning to wonder if he is going to get better I think this is worse than when he had his heart attack. I think I will have to wait on giving him a hug, you know how that is with this disease we're blessed to have.
Hope you had a nice weekend
