Alexandre, I just read the four pages on your thread. I will repeat: My first EMG WAS dirty. You really do not have ALS. I wish you peace of mind. Whatever is wrong, whether physical or emotional, I know it's very difficult.

I found the pic of your hands. I noticed I slight difference in your left, but it is difficult to see in the pic. My atrophy is in the same location, but also on the other fatty side of my palm and pinkie finger side. I know how frustrating this can be. All I can say is stay strong, try to keep your thoughts off of the bad things and live today as if there is no tomorrow. If your not happy with your current doc. You should go get a 2nd opinion. I am scheduled to see my new neuro this up coming Monday. You definately want to feel confident with the doc that you choose.

Alexandre, (here is the remainder responses to your questions.)
    3) I was unable to view your hand pics, your album was empty. I would be happy to view them at anytime.
My hand weakness is not terribly bad, but it is noticeable than it was before. For example, I do occassionally drop smalls items and difficulty picking up small items with the hand. In addition, I have stiffness to my fingers with cramping throughout the day. I just do continuous hand stretching exercises.
    4) I do see a difference between both hands when they are compared side by side. I measured them, which showed a 2 cm difference.

    Best of luck.

Hi Alexandre, (I have to do 2 seperate postings, my 1st was too long. The site would not let me send it.)
I would be more than happy to answer your questions.
    1) My twitching was only in my leg 5 years ago. It was not constant, but enough to ask my doc about. He said it was from activity and/or stress, but not to be concerned. I saw my first neuro 2 years ago, because my twitching involved more areas, which included my hand. I had no atrophy at this time.
    2) The doc did an EMG/NCV, in which he only reported his suspicions to be a pinched nerve in both my elbows (cubetal tunnell syndrome).

I hope this is helpfull. Best of luck.

Alexandre, I think you are hilarious, but I know you have a lot of mental anguish.Do you read a lot?
If I insult you by saying you are funny, I apologize.I'd give up my house and my car to trade symptoms and EMG's with you.

    Hi Alexandre,
Just checking in to see where your head is today? TRUST me, I completely understand how getting the fear of ALS out of your head seems almost impossible. BUT- you really should do your best to do so. You have so much good to be thankful for- you are strong, quite handsome looking at your avatar, and have been told you do NOT have ALS.

If you need any help trying to figure out how to let it go, just holler!
