Good morning Al;
I was excited to hear from someone so near to our hometown. Shouldn't have been though, there are several people in my 7 degrees of separation who have already been impacted by
ALS so this is not as foreign as we would hope.
Wow! Retired firefighter, scuba etc... you are quite an exciting character.
My son who just turned 19 is enrolled in the Underwater Skills program at Seneca and will be diving/working for a living. I have been down with my boy once this past summer -- the day Tom's picture was taken with me in the water. What a great world to visit.
You've been at this a long time too. Tom is still walking but arms, speech, swallowing, mucous are all his troubles at this time. He was so excited, he walked 2.5 miles on our sideroad the other day, and still had energy to make a successful bush walk with no falling. Walking is his life so we are all praying that he keeps going through the summer. We are so afraid for him when this is taken away.
