This is kind of a hypothetical on an EMG. I was wondering if any of you had info about this or maybe your neuros have explained. I've read a lot of posts on here about getting an EMG too early, more than one EMG, etc. I was wondering, if someone had an EMG on a leg and arm, but it missed the actual muscles that were affected or fasciculating at that time, or showing symptoms, would the muscles inserted with the sticks show fibs, waves, etc? I know we have over 600 muscles in our body, so I just don't get how the EMG picks things up when you only get a few sticks. Any insight? Thanks!
