I was diagnosed last month and my first prescription cost me $463.00 with insurance, this month the generic Riluzole cost me $15.00, thank God, I can't tell a lot of difference in my symptoms but will contingue taking it at this price
 
You will not see any difference in your symptoms. You just have to go on faith that it will give you an extra 2 - 4 months before a ventilator is required to sustain life. That change in price is dramatic!

Even when I'm not taking it right now, it's nice to see this dramatic price drop on the generic version.
At least I hope it becomes more affordable to PALS who want to take it.

You may not feel any difference in your symptoms because it's meant to deal with the excess of Glutamate in the brain that it's thought to be one of the causes of motor neurons death.
It may delay the time before going on ventilation by approximately 3-5 months.
