My symptoms were first noticed by my tongue fasciculations, it is moving all the time, I get choked on liquids and food if I am not careful. I have been coughing the past few days, probably alergies, I cough until my throat will not let me cough, it is just some kind of strange barking noise, could this be weakness in my throat? I get up and move around and then I am able to cough again, I don't want my throat to be the first to go, I am pretty normal, no issues in my arms or legs, just fasciculations everywhere.

I'm guessing it could be choking on your own saliva or could be "tickle in the throat" (you can do an online search for the later).
It has happened to me although not as often now as it was several months ago.
I have ALS with Bulbar-onset, by the way.

Also, to avoid choking on liquids try to tuck your chin down when drinking liquids, this shuts your epiglotis and keeps food or liquids out of your lungs or airways.

By the way, try to request a "swallowing test" with your Speech Therapist to test the strength of your swallowing muscles.

Good luck and be safe.

Carlos

Thanks Carlos I will ask for the test on the 22nd when I go back to the clinic
