You have come to the right place - welcome - just hate the circumstances that brought you here!
Ask questions, you'll get answers. My dh has bp ALS and I will tell you it's very trying. He started with slurred speech, and it has progressed to where most of the time I cannot understand him. He uses a white board (dry erase) to communicate. I got him a IPad but he prefers the board - light weight and of course easy to use. As long as he can use his arms and hands we're good!
You might post on the caregivers portion of the forum - it seems to be more active. God Bless you and your boyfriend.
