Has anyone had success I getting a grant for care or adaptations to the home?

That question would need to be answered by an american but i remember one lady in newyork got a grant i think to have a ramp fitted so she could go in and out of home in wheelchair.
I think it would depend also on the state you live in,it seems to me different states have different policies.

ALSA here has grants for various things. We got a small one for in home care. If you're truly in need you can contact ALS Guardian Angels. They help a lot of needy families.

Check out your state's disability resources... and of course if you're a veteran, call the VA.
