I am about to schedule another Clinic visit and I know that they will again recommend the punp to me. I currently take (orally) 90mg per day and it is only partially effective.

My concerns include:

- This is a sugical proceedure...actual (realistic) recovery time?
- % of those with sucessful outcome?
- Device Selection? This may be a given with a particular surgeon...do I need to interview and check on this?
- What post op problems might I face?

Most of these questions should be answered by the docs involved, but I would appreciate your comments.

Thank you.

Hi jerry, for those where oral baclofen does not work the pump is reccommended.
90MG is a very high dose ,why such high doses don't work for some must be something to do with there body not able to get it to work by taking orally........me and others it would leave us like rag dolls.

Take a look at the bottom of this page where it lists other threads .......there you will find one by peter57.
He had the pump fitted as he was on high dose like you but not working.
His thread may answer your questions and i am sure he would not mind you contacting him for information.
