Default dilema

I kn0w that many of you have the feeding tube. I got mine a few weeks ago and it is going well, however, I want to go to the beach for the day. We live about 1hr 1/2 away. How do you feed when on a beach and how to you hydrated if you really can't drink water even with thick it? I don't want to become house bound until I have no choice. We have a small pool in the yard but I can come in to feed and hydrate. Any suggestions?

I'm not experienced myself, but couldn't you syringe water into the feeding tube?

Take whatever nourishment you would have had at home to the beach. We did that on shorter trips. Don't let that worry keep you home. Have a good day!

Just pack up your supplies, perhaps a small cooler so things are not overheated. Plenty of baby wipes, hand sanitizer if you don't have access to tap water nearby. Take plenty of water along and just tube it! Make sure you take along some shade and stay well hydrated.
The heat really wipes me out so be careful if it bothers you.
Have fun and don't forget the sunscreen.

Pack up G atorade to keep hydrated. If you are concerned about privacy, take some golf or beach umbrellas and sit them sideways on the sand, so that you are surrounded. I'd also take a gallon jug of tap water and some liquid anti-bacterial soap to wash hands, so no sand was introduced to tube. Pack all needed supplies into the cooler! Have fun!
