I have diagnosed of pls some years ago. I can walk. I did stretches and bikes everyday. I had shots every 4 months. Can i travel other country? Was there a conflict if i will go to warm countries?

hi jay,welcome to the forum.
that question depends on how traveling and heat effects you.
personally a car drive for an hour leaves me stiff and in alot of pain.
as for warm weather, too warm or hot leaves me very fatigued.

if you are planning on going abroad you need to plan well and have adequate insurance in case you fall ill.
going traveling would indicate alot of walking involved so its a good idea to have your own chair or ask when you book about hiring a chair.
you may not feel you need this but believe me you will .
planning on going anywhere nice?

Jays,
I wouldn't think twice about traveling and besides how much hotter can it be than in the phillipines?

I would never travel without insurance whether I had PLS or not. I can't think of any crisis that a PLSer who can walk or bike would encounter while traveling. To my knowledge, PLS, while progressive, will not require emergency treatment. If you are in an accident, why wouldn't insurance cover your injuries? If you get cut or get an infection
why would PLS be a factor in getting medical coverage?
