Hi Everyone, after battling skin problems where my peg goes into my stomach for years (with so little help from any professional, although I begged at times!) Its so healthy now!

I hope this helps some of you. I know I put off having a peg initially due to the stories I'd read about how a stoma "never really heals" etc.

If you, or the one you are caregiver to have red, weepy, gooey, crusty skin at the peg tube site, it doesn't have to be that way!

So what is the secret ? What finally made your stoma well?

Jocalyn

Jocalyn, the information on hypergranulation tissue (which is what I dealt with for such a long time!) is found at the menu at the top of the page. If you click on the "hypergranulation tissue, (proud flesh or granuloma)" button, you'll see the subject covered there. Besides the main page on this topic, if you hover your mouse over this menu button instead of clicking on it, additional pages will show up, and then just click on the one you want to read next.
