Liquid meds with PEG tube

My mom fell today and was prescribed pain meds in liquid form so she can push through her tube. Is the process any different from taking crushed meds through the tube? Do you still need to flush? Will mixing with water dilute it? I don't know the best way to administer a liquid form. Thanks in advance, you guys are always awesome!

Hi Amanda - you always need to flush and as far as I know, mixing with water shouldn't alter the effect of the meds. Flushing will make sure the whole dose is administered as well as clean out the tube. Yasmin.
