peg tube

I have what looks like dried blood coming back in my peg tube , anyone ever have this or any suggestions would be helpful.

Please call your doc if you have blood INSIDE your tube! It could be a number of things and might be nothing serious, but do you want to take the chance?

If the blood is round the stoma, you may have traumatized the site, causing it to bleed.

Either way, call your doc. Good luck to you! Hope it's nothing serious...

I agree with CJ. There shouldnt be blood inside of the tube. Well worth a phone call!

Do you take beta carotene, sometimes it comes up in my peg and looks that way. Hope it's that simple.

I would call your Dr. WHen my dad's tube got cloudy we would put a little coke a cola in it. The acid cleans it right up. Good Luck
