Peg tube ...what now?

I have a question? At the end of the tube where you close it ,my the little end that you push in to stop the flow is breaking ? Has this happened to anyone and can they just put a new end on the tube? Hope I am making sense? Need help before it totally breaks off? Thanks Linda

Yes, that happened to me with the original tube. You can get replacement ends.

Linda, I used to replace those ends quite often because after being opened and closed many times they leak. I have at least one replacement here for a 20Fr tube that I can't use anymore (different kind of tube now) so if you can't get one easily send me a pm with your mailing address and I'll send you one.

Just incase it breaks maybe you should see if the pharmacy has the little scissor looking things that doctors use as a clamp. I have a pair for my hickman cath they are made of plastic and would not hurt the tube.
