Smile Eager to learn more about ALS

Hello,

I am currently an Occupational therapy student attending San Jose State University. I have been given an assignment to interview someone who is diagnosed with ALS. I would like to learn about how ALS affects all the different areas of your lives. The goal of this assignment is to try to gain more information about what someone with ALS goes through so I will be able to provide quality therapy. As occupational therapists our goal is to work with people to improve their quality of life. I look forward to hearing from one of you so I can gain more knowledge of how I could help people with ALS. Please let me know if you would be interested in answering some questions via email. Thank you in advance.

Sarah

Hi Sarah,

As you should learn, ALS affects everyone in different ways to start , with the result always being the same.

I would like to answer your questions for you. I am sure that others might too, as your career path will help others in the future.

email me at {{my name that shows}} at hot mail dot com

Sarah,

You can count on Glen to give it to you straight! Another thing you may think about doing is dropping in on an ALS support group meeting in you area. Contact your local ALSA and MDA folks for a better line on that leg.

By the way, thank you for taking this approach to better understand ALS, how it effects the lives of those who have it and how you can better help! You're a peach!

Sarah... I live in San Jose. In fact my son used to be a competitive skater that skated out of Logitech, so I know very well where SJ State is! My husband has been diagnosed with ALS with FTD. Would be happy to meet you for coffee some time... email me at twoskaters@aol.com
