Oh Katie,

What a double whammy. Sending comforting thoughts towards you.

Is it possible that part of Glen's attitude might be the fact that he has to stop working. I know this Glen is really going to hate it.

Have a big hug from the "Other Glen"

Glen

Glen... you hit it right on the head! Must be a "Glen Thing"! His anxiety level has gone up a couple of notches again since he left work. I know he's worried about the finances, he misses being able to work, etc. Got an e-mail today from a former co-worker.. going to see if they can come by for a visit some time, which would give Katie a break too.

I appreciate the support from all of you so very much.. thanks!

Katie, I can so identify! I call it the "never ending all you can eat buffet line"! I tell myself that the Universe must REALLY LOVE ME :]

My Daddy is 84 1/2, lives alone on the farm and I am the only one of 6 children that lives here. The rest of them all live all over the USA. [they always have tons of advice about how I need to do more for him.] I am his caregiver when he is ill, his barber, his housekeeper, his errand girl etc...It seems like he has a true crisis every week. Chest pain, emergency ballon angioplasty with stent, fell and had 17 stiches in his bald noggin, blood vessel ruptured in his eye due to macular degeneration so 3 trips to the eye surgeon for injections into his eye, weekly trips to the cardiologist, and now Bell's Palsy! All of this just in the last 2 months! Add to that my PALS and my 13 year old. Oh, and we may have bought unwittingly [from a local car dealer 2 years ago] and sold [in September because we could no longer afford the payments] a truck that was a VIN identity clone. In other word-STOLDEN! Oh, and to top it all off, DH's 4 sons from first marriage all descended on us for 5 days last week and it was ghastly. I can not tell you how horrible it was to be shunned in my own home. We barely have enogh money to pay our bills and feed ourselves to say nothing about feeding 4 additional adults. They never bought one grocery item or offered to help with anything. They came to hunt and fish! Our 13 year old [their 1/2 brother] and I were completely and totally ignored. I am struggling with huge anger issues concerning my DH's choices and behavior regarding said adult step children vs not supporting me and our child. ARGGGGG Yes sir-I am a much loved child of the Universe lol Soooooo looking forward to leaving for the magic kingdom the end of the month. :]

Hi all, it's makes you realize this is a really hard life we live. It is so full of pain and suffering. Us PALS and CALS are not the only ones suffering. So many people, all over the world, in pain for all kinds of reasons. We have got to find a way to hold on tight to the blessings we have...we all agree we have them, right? Life is short, none of us know how much time we have, even if some dr. tells us a time. Hold on to hope, hold on to love, and pray for strength and peace.

Blessings,

jen
