Bummer !

I too rocked the house the other night by landing on my butt/back.

I think I faired better than you with just sore muscles and a very tender rib.

Brenda, if you happen to fly by my house on Halloween , please drop in .

Glen

Hope you heal fast and I had to laugh , be careful with take off and landing on that broom. Your 8year old helper had better be harry potter for halloween and fly his broom to be there to help you. All the best Peace be with you.

Wow Brenda! Glad it wasn't any worse. Your son got his moment to shine in the family, and its always good for kids know they can be heroes. Maybe you can get your broom tricked out with a donut seat for Halloween, just to be on the safe side of comfort

Oh, Brenda ... it sounds so painful. I'd get a padded broomstick this year for sure! (Mine still has training wheels; Paul won't let me solo without them..)

I tried to outdo you yesterday with a sideways slammer WITH my walker, breaking my fall with my cheekbone on the handle of the walker. This came about as I was hobbling up to interview a new caregiver, and extending my arm to shake hands. She ran screaming from the house, of course, but my niece dragged her back in, and they managed to get me and the walker upright again. Fortunately, I have no more dignity to lose, and I explained to the interviewee, via LightWriter, that I don't often do that. She agreed cheerfully that I seemed OK, and after she left, I spit out all the blood (only bit my cheek), and agreed, except for some neck and back twitches.

You are still the winner, Brenda, with a perfect 10! Although I think I do get extra points for degree of difficulty (taking walker down with you). I'd give me about a 7.5 for style, presentation (dramatic entrance) and degree of difficulty.

Yes, Katie! Thanks to the Alabama judge, I'll get an 8.0. And I really stuck the landing!
