I am on the mailing list for the Les Turner ALS Foundation. ( I think it's called that? ) Anyway, I got an invitation to attend an ALS Education and Research event on Sunday, October 25th. There will be a speaker/professor from Northwestern University as well as Les Turner talking. They will be talking about the current state of ALS research and attendees can ask questions, too. Has anyone ever gone to something like this? Was it worthwhile? I am supposed to be driving home from Ohio ( going to visit Dad..and mom ) that day, but if this thing is something I shouldn't miss,...I'll see if I can make some changes in my plans so I can attend. Thoughts?

Hi KinzaDAF,

If it was me, and I was attending the event, I would inquire about the KNS-760704 drug by Knopp Neurosciences that is going into phase 3 of the clinical trial process next year. There is a lot of buzz centering around its potential right now, more than anything else that's in the clincial pipeline.
