My friend was diagnosed with ALS a year ago. He just recently went to see a pulmonologist to get some tests done for his breathing. I am a little confused. When he went to the clinic a couple months ago they told him his breathing was at 48%. When he went to the pulmonologist a few weeks ago he was told his breathing was at 57%. Which one is the right one? Why are they so different? Which one do they go by for vent purposes?

different tests by different testers will get different results.

I would follow the specialists (pulmo) readings. I would have said this even if they were lower.
