Anxiety and Med's....

Are there any anxiety med's that ALS patients should not take because of possible complications, is there an anxiety med that work better than the rest for treating anxiety cause by having ALS?

I was told not to take Valium as it suppresses breathing, but I haven't heard of anything specifically contra-indicated because of ALS.

What about Xanax?

I haven't heard anything specific about Xanax (I take one at bedtime), but best to check with your doctor ... or pharmacist. I think the pharmacy may be more up to date than doctors.
