It's official - my dad has been diagnosed with ALS. I had gotten him some books when they thought it was Parks and now my parents are asking for books on ALS.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Do you want technical books or biographies of people with ALS?

For technical books your ALS center should have some very good ones.

I'm looking for both I guess.....
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis: A Guide for Patients and Families is one I saw on Amazon that looked like it was good - had good reviews.

Before you buy anything, go to alsa.org and find your local chapter. Get in touch with your local representative... they will send you TONS of information in a "new patient package"... from there, you might have a better feel for what topics you need further information on.
