My boyfriend (he is 33) is currently going through being diagnosed with something that effects muscle/nerve with ALS being one of them.

He currently has weakness in his left leg, he cannot lift his foot. Almost no upward movement in his big toe which is making it somewhat difficult to walk.

My question is when he works out (for example goes swimming) he has more ability to lift his left leg afterwards. If the diagnosis was ALS would he be able to do this?

Thanks for your help.

Patty

If he had ALS (my experience) he would be worse after. The fact it is better after points to something other than ALS, in my opinion.

I agree. When I go swimming , my leg is just more tired, making it worse not better.
