Does ALS cause Stridor?

I found out that the noise i make breathing in through my mouth is called stridor. I have for the longest time had choking sensations in my neck, especially where my cervical nodes are and thought it was due to there enlargement. I am now finding out that it is not and it is no big surprise as it matches what i was going to a neurologist for anyways. I have never heard of anyone saying they have this on the forum. Take a good breathe in not necessarily deep, does it feel like your throat is closing and make a crackly ghostly sound?

I think I know what you are describing and I experienced it too. Now that I have a tracheostomy and vent it no longer happens. One more benefit of having a trache! So far I have not come up with one negative!

I used to have this quite a bit accompanied by laryngospasms. They put me on baclofen 10mg 2x/day and it has all but alleviated the problem. I still have it occasionally but don't feel it's bad enough to up the dosage.
