There is a group of PALS and CALS on the "ALSTDI" forum that have formed a group called "The IPLEX Team". The purpose of this team is to try and get our government leaders to influence INSMED, the company that makes the drug IPLEX to release it for use by PALS. Currently they cannot release it for use by PALS because of a patent controversy with another company that produces a drug call INCRELEX which has some of the same things in it, but does not work as well for ALS.
This group has organized a rally to be held in front of the Capitol building on 11/11/08 (Veterans Day). For anyoe who is interested in this rally or anything about IPLEX, visit the ALSTDI forum and bring up the Research and Treatments section and click the Access to IPLEX in Italy thread. There is some very pertinent info there.
