By the way I think we ought to charge dues of at least one laugh a week from the members? What do you think new members?
I always said I was abby, abyy normal.
Is there a limit on how "different" you must be ?

Will I get the letter in the mail -
"We are sorry but we can not accept your application due to lacking of differency"
or
"Dude , you are whacked - your are scaring the members - DENIED"

I always say I have no pain. But I have lots of joint pain while trying to sleep.

Pam you and Eric can join any of my Groups! I Thank you my friend Capt. Al. We finally pulled the PAIN symptom out of the wood work!

Tim had a lot of pain before he progressed. He also had denervation early on and had problems sitting and standing. I mean, he had severe cramps for all those years before DX. And remember, he was DX right off when sent to a Neuro. He was fed pain meds from MD Quacks instead of sending him to a Neurologist.

What is typical for ALS, may not be for everyone else. If you do not have pain, Great!

In May 08 WRIGHT said he would put money on it that I had a DISC problem! I WISH I DID!!!!!!!!

I have ran up on a Familial history on my Grandmother's side of the Family that I did not know. I ordered my Great gradfather's Death certificate because of a picture I have that I had seen years ago that did not look right. My daughter is into Geneology and I seen the picture again and new he was not normal. I got it in the mail yesterday, not good...... I am trying to get in touch with those realitives that are Living to see if there was anymore in that part of the Family. More to research. I will update.

I will post the picture of him and explain later!

Default Tim

Tim is not doing well. I just don't know what to do anymore. Can anyone imagine taking care of your brother with ALS, and now your Neuro. highly suspects you have a slow onset to??????

I need all the Prayers I can get for Tim. He has to get this ANGER out of his HEART! That is what hurts me so bad. He want let things from the past go. Every time I go help with him, I have to take a Xanax on the way there. He never is angry with me, just everybody else.

The first thing he said to me yesterday when he woke up was "When I die, I don't want these people at my Funeral". The Family that is taking care of him. I was so upset and had to walk off. I did not tell them. I have to get him some Mental Help somehow!

Lori.
I just wanted to take a momemt and send a hug your way. I get angry when I think about what you are going through. I am also pretty sure my situation has some family history and am now working on that side just as you are. My love to you and your daughter and husband. Whatever I could ever do to help, I am here.

Thumbs up Answer to prayer

Lorie go read this:
http://www.alsforums.com/forum/showt...6400#post86400
I am glad others have come forth with the pain issue. I went to my VA Doctor yesterday and he recommended a Demerol pump be installed. I am allergic to all pain meds but Demerol and Lortabs or he would have recommended a morphine pump.
I have had chronic low back pain now for over 20 years and when the ALS hit about 4 years ago things just got worse. He said the pump would help even out the medication because the up and downs of relief would cause fasciculation's. That is the first time anyone has told me that. He said he knew the ALS was causing them but that they would be worse with themed swings. I will consult with my pain management Doctor and see if he agrees.
I pray for you all and wish you a peaceful, blessed day. Here is a hug for everyone that needs one. Wish I could be there in Person to give it to you.

So sorry Lorie. It's really tough dealing with all this and I know you have been such a trooper.

I hope you will go to that specialist. Sounds like your husband is very concerned.

Blessings to you and your family.

Hi Lori, Hang in there girl! Your husband is right , you have to take care of yourself too. So sorry to hear about your brother not being able to eat. Hope that his voice lasts for you. It'll be difficult if he can't communicate with you.
