this might be a stupid question since i am not sure where to find out info about this. Is ALS symmetrical or asymmetrical and what does each one mean. or is it different in each perosn
 
Symmetrical - affecting corresponding parts simultaneously and similarly
Asymmetrical - exactly the opposite, only affecting one part or another, but not similarly or at the same time.

Dh's was asymmetrical and still is, mostly prominent on the right side of his body, but his left side is effected. There are a few on here that I've seen start asymmetrically, but I don't know if that's the norm.
