Hi Arlene. Welcome to the forum. Everyone on this forum are very helpful.

My mother passed away in September /07 with motorneuron disease with bulbar symptoms. She too was diagnosed at Sunnybrook Hospital. She was under the care of Dr. Zinman and Dr. Webster. I am certain you met Myrna Moore. She is very supportive and has much information to offer. My mom started off having hoarseness in her voice and then it became slurred, she had problems with drooling and swallowing. She had problems with phelgm. Unfortunately this past June she started getting short of breath on any type of exertion. Everyone progresses at different rates. Take one day at a time and deal with the situations as they occur.

God Bless. Anne

so sorry about your mother-arlene

Welcome arlie. Sorry about the diagnosis. I have limb onset and go to Sunnybrook as well. Hope we can be of some help along the way.
AL.
