Hey everyone,
I need your help on an idea I have for my next column. I was pondering what a PALS might like for Christmas or Chanukkah. My first answer was visitors. I don't know what you've experienced, but while a few friends have remained in close contact, a lot of people I know have grown shy and uneasy and avoid me. Some have disappeared altogether. Two professionals I know both used the term "a disease of isolation." Anyone with a story who's willing to be quoted - first name only, if you prefer - I'd love to hear from you. I promise not to get too heavy or whiney. It's almost Christmas and I want to keep the mood bright.
