Penicillin G and Hydrocortisone

Anyone familiar with this treatment?

It was from an incredibly small retrospective paper - 3 patients I think. The paper is here somewhere. Look search in research subforum. Maybe drug trial subforum.

Ceftriaxone which is related to PenG was a fail in a controlled drug trial. The role of steroids has been discussed a lot. Some people seem to feel they improve at least transiently. Others feel they get worse.

Penicillin G and hydrocortisone was used on these 3 patients with advanced syphillis that presented with ALS like symptoms. These diseases are part of the usual work up to diagnose ALS. Not having any STIs would rule out treating for STIs. Hope that helps.
