Hot and cold flashes?

Hello my mom has ALS and experiences severe hot and cold flashes and it's not related to menopause because that was done years ago. Does anyone know how to alleviate symptoms or what causes it.

I'm experiencing the same thing and I've been informed they are called parasthesia's. What was recommended to me was Cymbalta and/or Gabapentin. I've got myelopathy (spinal cord compression) and it is a neurological manifestation. I couldn't tolerate the Cymbalta and Gabapentin never didn't anything for me. I've not found anything to help me with the discomfort yet. Sorry I don't have much more for you.
