Has anyone else been tested for this?
I was dx'd by the U of Iowa Neurology around April/May-ish officially with PLS, moved to ALS Clinic. Asked for a second opinion in June. Was seen by Mayo in Rochester in July. The PLS diagnosis was affirmed. I was tested for Stiff Person Syndrome (GAD 65 panel) and was negative. My startle reflex tested as normal. SPS was ruled out.
Yesterday I received a phone call that a little test checking for Glycine Receptor antibodies came back seropositive and they want me to give IVIG a go for 12 weeks.
Has anyone else been tested for this and been seropositive? I do not fit PERM quite right. While I have some cognitive impact, it does not fit the stereotype (no hallucinations, no mood swings, no paranoia, etc.)
