Last two weeks I have been sleepy or sleeping all the time.
I nap twice a day for 90 minutes. 8 hours at night.
I use the ventilator 20 hours daily on Passive AVAPS.
Spirometer testing last week was at 19% FVC.
Fluid and food intake is good through the MIC-KEY button.
No pain, just stiffness and pressure points in bed, relieved by getting rolled over every two hours through the night.
I don't use cough assist as I can still cough effectively to clear secretions.
Only new supplement is Lunasin.
Prescription drugs: Nudexta, atropine drop three times daily.

have your CO2 checked. Increasing CO2 can cause lethargy.

but to directly answer your question: no.

I would say no, u sound well for the situation we're in - Pat

No.

In my wife's final month, she stayed in the hospital bed in our TV room, and we lifted her to the toilet next to her bed using a Hoyer lift. Her body was completely paralyzed and she blinked to communicate.

In her final week, she had air hunger from time to time, and requested morphine instead of air or oxygen. She slept a lot.

In her last few days, she got a urinary catheter. Her urine became dark and cloudy and then chunky-looking. She was almost always asleep.

I think you just need a espiratory evaluation. Like Greg said, your co2 may be higher, your body may simply need more rest.

Thanks so much for the replies. I made some changes to my Trilogy, and increased my water intake, first thing in the morning. Now I feel good for a long while yet.
