Default G Tube Installation

I had my feeding tube procedure last Tuesday at the Tampa VA. All went smoothly and everyone was wonderful and helpful. Although I do not need it right away the Doctors thought it was best to get it sooner than later.

Some pain but not too bad.

Excellent!

Try to avoid laughing or sneezing for a couple of weeks! ;^)

Be sure to do the daily flushes, even if you're not using it for feeding.

Glad to hear it went so well. You were very wise to get it early--will make things so much easier down the road. Hope in a few days you won't hardly notice it's there except to flush it.

I agree on getting it early. Had mine put in 10 days ago as well and already feeling much better. I am not much of a water drinker and was probably dehydrated some. It's a lot easier to make sure I have plenty of water now. Glad yours went well.
