Surehands finished the ceiling track installation yesterday and it works great. We had the electrician put an outlet near the ceiling for the charger so we wouldn't have cords hanging down and there is an outlet lower down for the wheelchair to charge. (It is coming end of May).

The switch is pretty big but it is of solid design and we don't expect there to be any issues. The harness is actually pretty comfortable except the steel braces that go under your legs are cold first thing in the am. I might see if I can slip some knee socks over them. The system plops you right down on the toilet and the braces on your legs are far enough forward that you don't need to get out of the harness to use the toilet.

The remote is not water proof and is expensive so they recommend you put it in a plastic bag while showering.

Excellent. One of these is in my future. How long did the installation take? They told me with the configuration I want, it would take a full day and probably two days.

Awesome system! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Kim

Installation was Monday through Thursday though he was here only about 3 to 4 hours at a time. Normally they set up shop in your garage and do the cutting and shaping of the track pieces, but where he lives about a mile from me with an extensive shop, it was easier for him to go back and forth and uses his shop.

I noticed that it terminated at a door entry with a "header" over the door. Then it continued on the other side of the door. How do you transfer into the next room? pic 3 I think.

We opened up the door between bathroom and bedroom hence no header. The system transfers from chair to bed to toilet to sink to shower. From the YouTube videos it looks like they can cut into headers to go room to room. It is pretty pricey hence we did not put it throughout the house.

I already put an 8-foot high door from the bedroom to the bathroom. My ceilings are 9 feet high so they will be cutting it out when the track is installed.
