Silly question of the day: Suction

In the morning I get a lot of clear mucus which comes out of my nose. I have trouble blowing my nose because of weakness. We have a baby nose sucker-upper, but it's useless and doesn't work. So I had this bright idea that maybe I can use my saliva suction machine on my nose mucus. Is this a no-no? It's been 6 hours since my last dose of morphine, so I can't blame this wild idea on drugs. Thought? Be gentle, please.

We really take nose clearing for granted until we can't do it...

Yes, ask your DME for or buy an "olive tip" on line. It's an attachment for the tube you already have.
