Drug trial

I was diagnosed in March of this year. Onset August 2015. Monday I will start participation in a drug trial for a drug that has been used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. The hope is that it will slow progression. I was tested for inflamation markers which were positive to allow me to participate. It will involve spinal tap and drug infusion. I live in Winston Salem NC. Very fortunate to have an ALS clinic in town at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. 4 month trial. I will let you know if it works.

What's the name of the drug. If it's already in use, some of us might want our doctors to prescribe it off label.

Yes it is Actemra. Started the trial last week
