Revealed

How can people listen when your voice is silent.
How can you see when you turn a blind eye.
How can you feel without touching.
How can you live in a world devoid of empathy.

We see it everyday.
We bear witness in a world being torn apart.
To see human rights come under attack.
To see injustice in a free society.

To condone discrimination under the belief of faith.
My faith is my own not someone else's.
But I am not blinded by faith.
True faith is believing in human dignity.

I live my life with uncertainty of what tomorrow will bring.
But I don't fear it or dwell on it.
I live it the best I can.
My life is just like everyone else's.
We all have challenges we must face day to day.

It's not the challenges that define us.
But how we face them.
Dignity, hope, I am only one of many.
But maybe my words can speak for the many.

When you speak with sincerity and truth.

A soul is revealed.
